Looks like something I could get into once I move into my new place. What type of filtration do you use on each tank? I take it it's one pair per tank?

Hi all,
I got another 4 shelves set-up the same way. Also use a 6 foot, a 4 foot and 3 three footers to raise males and females seperately.
I've been working on my strains 3 generations plus (some for 5).
I also use the above photographed set-up to raise killifish as well. Which also thrive in small set-ups.
In all my tanks I use air driven sponge and corner filters. I find it's the best filter ever, and cheap too. I run a few high power air pumps to run all my tanks. I generally use a trio to breed; my best male with my best two females.
Cheers, Serkan

Its a good way to go if you want quality fish. do you have holes in the dividers in the large tanks or just filter and heat each separate? would love to see some pics of your fish too.

Each particion is a closed system; ie. no water circulation between sections. That way if a disease enters one of my tanks it does not spread very far. Because each section is isolated I count it as a tank. On the above photo actually there are only four tanks.
Two on top shelf, each divided into two = 4 tanks Two on bottom shelf, each divided into three = 6 tanks
On the top shelf there is a heater in the far left section which heats far left and the adjacent section as they are sharing a glass side. And the other heater is on the far right tank doing the same.
Bottom shelf also has total of two heaters, each in the middle section heating three tanks through shared sides.
Obviously the sections with heaters in is always a degree or so hotter.
Cheers,
Serkan
