Here is a couple of my males that I'm trying to find girls for. I found some lovely tangerine coloured females in a bendigo fish shop last week.....about 30 had just come in and were acclimatising so I went back later to pick them up and all but two had died, not sure why... but it must be frustrating for the shop guy's.

wow, love the green double sword. I have had a lot of luck using gold bodied or 'blonde' female guppys with no markings and usually a pale yellow tail for males that you have no pair for. they usually come from cobras but dont seem to pass on any undesirable traits. you may get a few blonde bodied fry down the line but thats usually a plus

good idea, most blonde/yellows here are from snakeskin stock and also carry sword genes, they will occasionally throw a nice lyretail, the snake gene is carried on the male fish so the female is virtually a 'blank'. when choosing females to continue a line remember to only get ones with no markings or colours as as most highly coloured females and HB females are the gene carriers for those breeds.
On the other hand, if you are looking at a strain that HAS highly coloured females then choose them over the males, such as HB's, flametail mosaics.
