its strange but I was looking at my latest batch of little endler males and instead of the orange/green guys I have been breeding for a year (no outcrosses) I found half the males are yellow cobras.. the only clue to there origin is the mothers very slightly spotty tail.
now I have two strains!

I cant wait to get some pics. it seems they are developing a spotty pattern of black on yellow rather than the usual snakeskin pattern. they are too tiny and the pattern is just forming so no luck with getting pics yet.

Feisty little devils. I cant get a net near them. they either hide or will panic and jump. am setting up the large spotty female and the spotty males in a tank of their own. My killifish colony diappeared from a small tank and I can even find dead ones! It will make a nice home for these guys though.

No idea they just disappeared off the face of the earth in the last few days. upon a cleanout of the tank there was also a nice gastromyzon loach missing, although the two orange gups and a baby bristlenose were alive and well aswell as another gastro loach. here are some pics!
