I have one of these in my community tank. It keeps the glass nice and clean. At first I thought there would be enough algae in the tank to keep him fed, but apparently not as a few of my guppies ended up with chunks taken off them (one had his dorsal fin mysteriously go missing). I started feeding him sinking algae pellets after that and now he plays nice and lets the other guppies share his food. He's a wonderful tank mate and saves me from having to use the algae scraper.

yes they are good but one of the 'difficult' cases that will sometimes take chunks out of your fishes fins if not watched carefully. I had to get rid of a larger one that got very territorial and started harassing tankmates to death

He's growing big fast now that he's eating pellets but so far so good. If he does get naughty again I'll probably try trading him in for a pleco. He's a bit dizzy to watch, moves around the tank a lot, barely sits still.
