These people had the most beautiful males I have ever seen I think they were blue neons and something to do with sunsets? The females were totally grey not even a hint of colour. Although the guppies were great their prices were high (apparently the fish are imported from singapore) and the service was terrible. they werent interested in answering questions but gave off that "if you arent going to buy anything then get out" feel.

Sad, The LPS usualy get imports cheaper from overseas (unless from a special show breeder) than locally bred fish, especially common blue neons and tequela sunset. Smells of profeteering from people who know no better
if you are looking for genuine 'expensive' breeds in Aus then go for the double swords, Butterflys, mosaic multi's, german breeds, japanese grass, german multi's, Moscow. also look for very large size males with perfect large triangular tails.
Breeds like : Any snakeskin, king cobra, any half black, tequela sunrise are common and not worth paying any extra $ for as they are available anywhere. a lot of these are imported in huge numbers.

i went in here for the first time yesterday and thoroughly agree with the get out if you arent going to buy anything' attitude. Although I have to admit I was really very glad, as was my nose, to get out. They let their pets run wild in the place, and it is carpetted, and the dogs & cats are obviously not house trained... talk about a stench. But, the fish are awesome, if not very expensive. I had decided I might like to get a couple of discus for my large tank and not knowing a lot about them I thought I might talk to someone in the know about them. He informed me they were great community tank fish and I should buy a few. So I went to look at them.... buy a few? yeah right, at over $100 for a small one I doubt that will happen in a hurry. And I couldn't find them anywhere else locally to compare the prices. Are they usually that expensive??
