Just thought of a thread to fill with fish that should NOT go into a tank with guppies.
Red tail sharks , large gold/chinese algae eaters : these chase and fin nip gups once they grow large.
any cichlid : Fry and fish eaters, the only known exceptions are Kribs, Rams and a few other small peaceful south american cichlids, angels can be troublesome and eat small guppies and fry.
Pictus, some larger species synodontis (multipunctus), tandanus, salmon and other large mouthed cats will make a meal of gups when they get large.
Ghost/other knife fish: Eat gups when they get large.
Confirmed fin-nippers: Zebera danio's, Bumblebee Gobys, red eye tetra, tiger barbs,

the newly available pakistani or 'yoyo' loach may have the occasional taste of guppy fins. If you want these I would reccomend a 3ft tank or larger as they need to be kept in small groups. some specimens will be good and not touch other fish while some will be chronic biters.
I have a pim and also a small Ghost-knife in my community. they seem safe with anything they cannot swallow as they are both gobblers rather than nippers ;D no-one has disappeared as yet.
