my name is tonia and i am knew to the guppy world.My husband got me the guppy for mothers day and she was pregnant when i recived her.On the 19th she gave birth and she and the fry are doing well. the question i have is how old do the fry have to be to start showing color and how old before i'll be able to start sexing them out and how do i tell female from male. I know this is alot of question to ask all at one time but any input would help me alot.Thanks for the help ahead of time in case i forget to say so later!

Hello and welcome to the forum, this page may help with most of the questions . ausguppy.earth.prohosting.com/GuppyFAQ.htm depending on the breed they may take anywhere from a few weeks to 4 months to get there full colours. feel free to ask more questions if you need too, there is a lot of 'stickys' in each section of the forum to help if no-one is online.

Hi Tonia, Welcome to the forum..... In regard to your sexing question... Separate them as soon as you can tell them apart if you want your females to remain "virgins". A good way to tell if they are female is the little dark gravid spot that starts to show toward the anal area, they are also a little more rounded of body I have found than Males.... HTH
