Wow is this board hard to find! Well, ok, it only took me about half an hour of google searching until I finally got the right keywords, but phew!
I'm currently living in Sydney. I'm a beginner when it comes to breeding guppies, right now I've only got the one tank (AR380, apparently about 40 litres) and a big bowl (about 20 litres). Apart from my guppy hobby I'm a computer nerd (at home and at work).
I've got two pearly white male guppies with red finnage (if anyone could tell me what that colour is called it would be much appreciated!) and an indian sucking loach to keep the tank clean. I bought a plain yellow pre-hit female a while back from a city pet shop and the next day 12 babies popped out. They're only a couple of months old now, can't wait to find out what colours they are. I used the big bowl to grow the babies big enough to put in the main tank as I found they were so small they were getting sucked into the filter. Surprisingly I've had no fatalities yet, so I must be doing something right.
I would love to get some more fish tanks but they're so darn expensive here in Sydney and I'm saving for my wedding in October.
I guess that's more than enough by the way of introduction. Look forward to chatting more in the future.
