Frozen bloodworm is often used in conjunction with flake as the main 'growth' food once guppys reach about 1 month of age. The best products are those that have been 'moisture reduced' such as Hikari and bio-gold brands. These are often safer, the product is less 'broken up' and less likley to leak fluids into the tank that are an ideal medium for bacterial disease. Caution should also be taken to vary the fishes diet with flake or greens as the guppy is an omnivorous fish and may suffer internal damage from a constant intake of fats and proteins.
