- 80 liter tank (with complete plastic hood and fluresent light)
- Heater
- Internal Filter (with foam inside)
- 3-10 mm gravel
- fake opening and closing clam when attacked to airpump (it scares the fish so its not connected)
- Hollow fake tree
- had some issues with plants but i now currently have 7 different plants 4 different types 1 of them being a moss that i have put on the inside of my hollow tree to dimm the light to make a tree-cave
i cleaned the tank and gravel before use and i conditioned the water. 3-5 days later 10 neons tetras were added
between then and now (somthing like 1 or 1 and a half months)
i have added
- 2 bristle mouth catfish
- 1 crown tail male fighter fish 1 female
- 2 rams
- 1 dwarf orange flame gourarmi
- 2 (i call them lochies there nocturnal snakes that hide alot)
- 9 guppies (3 males 6 females)
So far
- 1 neon has died (never found its body)
- 3 Guppies have died (2 females one with membrane fungus in its tail and the other with a wound between its gills under it, and 1 male thats death was unknown)
Fishy Experiances
- Male Fighter Attacks Female Fighter (female approches the male though)
- Male Fighter Is Scared Of Rams
- gourarmi has gotten fat (he hangs around the floating preg tank
- male ram(Spike) is violent
- 1 of my bristle mouth catfish(Biggie) is quite big and is still growing
Fishy Births
- During the night a guppy gave birth in the preg tank... I found 9 fry... 7 survived 2 found a way out of the preg tank.
moved the fry to another tank 5.7 liters
5.7 liter tank
- Heater
- Air Stone
- Conditioned water
- No Gravel No Plants.
the tank was filt up on the same day the fry went in... the next morning They were all dead. I did not use water from the other tank.
- While i was at work a smaller, EXTREAMLY ANERGETIC guppy had babbies in the Preg Tank (this guppy got stressed quite a bit and jumped out of the tank a few times then i used the lid)
when i got home i only found 2 fry 1 was alive and swimming the other was on its side dead... i took it out and placed it in a fine meshed net tank that hooks on the inside i left her in there for another day but nothing...
hes still alive... i now have another guppy thats ready to have babbies in the preg tank it gets stressed less but still had crazy swings...
(i feed my fish SERA: Vipan Flakes and SERA GVG-Mix Flakes)
(My current plants were suggested by the Aquarium They Are Strong Low Demand Plants)
(I've only ever cleaned my filter and done a Third Water change, I dont have a silphon hose. it would be quite difficult with my decorations and plants roots)
how can i get my fry into the other tank and get them to live?
I am also wondering is it alright to feed my fish
Fishing Bait (prawn), Frozen Peas, other human food?
what will it do to my water and what affects will it do to my fish?
P.s Please outline any or all the mistakes i have made...
