I found an article online showing some of the larger breeding setups in asia where large outdoor tubs are used for breeding. All the females of a certain strain are placed in one area of the tub and palm leaves are places into the water, covering the surface. When fry are born they move towards the light, above the palm leaves and are not eaten by the fish below. These are then collected daily. I have been trying to replicate this 'surface cover' In my tanks with thick plantings of Giant vallis and water sprite. Am currently saving more fry than I can grow ;D
