a good small scale breeding tank is one of around 30lt (10 gal) It should be set up with slow filters such as the cheap cornerfilters sponge or cannister to prevent fry becomming trapped. If a good light source is available then it should be heavily planted with water-sprite, this will give both additional filtration and the best cover for fry. For average/little light sources java moss, java fern or fake plants can be used for fry cover. Females should be left undisturbed in these tanks with as little disturbance and moving as possible. With males being added for breeding and fry removed to growth tanks.
