Guppies can store sperm for up to 6-8 batches of fry. If she was bought from an LPS (local pet shop) then she will more than likley be pregnant. A non pregnant guppy will be streamlined with not much of a 'tummy' underneath at all. A pregnant guppy will have anything from a very slight bulge to something resembling an egg with a tail . Gravid spots are not that reliable in telling how pregnant a guppy is because the females can almost change the colour of these at will. although they may become very dark days before the female gives birth (due to colour of well developed fry).
