The good thing about guppy fry is that they are large at birth and will readily take many different foods. The simplest food to feed for the home aquarist is very finely ground flake, this can easily be achieved by putting the flake food into a plastic bag and bashing it with a mallet hammer or rolling pin untill the flake is dust-like. To get the best results breeders will feed newly hatched BBS (baby brine shrimp) and ground flake alternatley at intervals of about 1-2 hours (in an ideal world ) for maximum growth during the first month of life.
