Pregnancy in guppies usually takes around 21-34 days depending on the breed and water conditions. Usually the warmer the water and better the conditions the shorter the pregnancy. Guppies can have an average of five broods of fry (up to 8) once mated as they have the ability to store sperm. This is why it is important to purchase or grow some virgin females if you are serious about breeding.
