I dont beleive it. Camallanus worms!!!!!!!! One guppy female....shes straight into isolation with Levamisol, no other fish appear affected. The last thing I want to do is treat a 200 litre tank!!! I hope we have got to this in time. If it spreads I will be losing all the fish.......I am so angry. We were so careful. I even threw the gravel from the other tank away... new gravel , new tank, new everything and bang it hits again. We even got the fish stright from the supplier! GGGGRRRRRRRRR

No, Not new. I brought some females after the last case of camallanus...that was a few months ago. Quarantined...the works. Im miserable about this. All my fry.teen now adults were put into the same tank 2 weeks ago. (Ive got all the gups together at the moment in the 200 liter tank...because we just dont have any room here for seperate tanks}... If I lose them all again I swear I will change breeds of fish Just when everything was running smoothly!

It looks like a red barb or needle sticking out the fishes butt. You notice it more when the fish resting. The worms tend to come out then. It is extremely hard to cure. if impossible. I got rid of all the worms BUT the worms can die in the fish as they are latched onto the intestine and die inside the fish and cause poisoning (infection) the fish die from that. Nasty Nasty Nasty.

I just recently treated my tank with levamisole as I had some gups that showed camallanus after I had had them quarantined for about 3weeks and had just moved them into a big tank with my baby gibbiceps... anyway I lost one, but all the rest seem to be cured... I am going to redose the tank this week as someone said to me that it is a good idea to do a re-dose after about 3 weeks just to make sure that no hangers on can get another hold.... Did you use Big L?
I hope you dont lose anymore sassy... give me a call if you are worried or just want to talk
I would dose the whole tank if I was you... just to be sure that no one else has it... the earlier you catch it the better so better to treat them early... I have a big 500ml bottle if you need any...
