Hi, could anyone make a suggestion as to what to purchase to help clean up the excess food that has dropped to the bottom of the tank. I did a clean up this morning and siphoned of waaaaaaaaaaaay to much food, so obviously i need to cut back on the feeding amounts and times, but I would like to add a couple of 'something' to help keep the tank in a pristine condition if possible. I currently have Siamese algae eaters, but, they just seem to concentrate on the algea. Any suggestions fellow fish lovers?

I am a newbie... however I did get 2 bronze catfish............ well thats what the LFS called them... they are really Corydoras.well judging by pictures they are. My 2 zoom around the bottom of the tank sticking their nose into the gravel and munching. I dont know how they would go with your other fish. Sounds like cutting down on the amount of food is a good idea to. Good luck with whatever you get and dont forget to Quarantine them.

'Bronze cory' are corydora aneus as are most albino cory. Peppered cory are a slightly different species that are also very good. Highly reccomended for small tanks.
I would reccomend cory, Khuli loach (although these are great escape artists and can be sensitive.) or bristlenose catfish, that will both scavenge and eat algae.

Hi, and thanks to you both for your help. I went out today and got cory's, Julii Cory's to be exact. Two normal and two albino. they are so cute. What surprised me was the price. The straight ones were $9 each and the albinos were being sold for $25 each, but, i went to the LFS around the corner from where I bought the straight ones and the young guy sold me two albinos for $3.50 each. Now I am not sure if he just made a mistake or the first shop had them priced wrong, but I was very, very happy to buy them for the smaller price. And boy are they energetic, zooming all around the place. I can't wait to put them into the big tanks. I know they are scavengers but is there anything you know of that I can give them as a treat to eat? Thanks

were the expensive ones regular (c. aneus) or albino c.Julii . I they were an albino Julii then these would be very unusual. Both are great fish though.
