quick update... I lost my little boy who was grounded..... I popped in a tank that I was treating with Metro (discus) and he was back up and swimming and eating and I thought "Cool, Ive saved him" reaclimatised him back into gup tank today and 4 hours later found him floating dead! :-( I really thought I had saved him... maybe he was too weakened to survive another change! Its not fair.... anyway... all the others are good so thats positive...

sorry for your loss.
Had a problem where I was re-housing two Odessa barbs because they started harassing other fish. I had them in a small bucket and decided to put them in a larger container for the night so they wouldnt jump out. I came back an hour later to two crispy fish ! (not one but both had jumped out)
Fish always seem to off themselfs in the weirdest ways.

Metro is Metrozidonole (spelling) an antibiotic that is available by prescription only and is used for discus (and other fish I am sure) suffering from Hex (hole in the head)... it apparently can also help swim bladder disorders according to my LFS man and he suggested that I pop the gup in with the discus for a treatment.... and it was a good suggestion as it worked and he was swimming up top again but cest la vie' he was floating up top a few hours after being back in with his mates... Sorry to hear about your panda and bumblebees crispy fishies.... Oh well we can only do our best!!!
