Hi, I started with 7 guppies and now I have about 50 (all in a few months!!)lol My males are colouring up nicely(some orange and yellows and a couple of tuxedos metallic blue with red fins and tail) and I have heaps of blonde (yellow) females as well as some tuxedo females I think.... If you are looking for any give me a yell - I reckon about $1.50 each males and $1 females... you can pm me if you like...

I'm in Vic too.
Just lost a lot of guppies. These fish shop ones really aren't very strong. Do have about 30 babies though so my hopes are with them. Post some pics when you decide to sell them if you could please.
Cheers

I'm in Langwarrin. Work in Noble Park.
Not sure if this is the best place to post this info, but anyway someone can move it if need be.
I was in Boronia Aquarium today getting some microworm culture and vinger eel culture and I saw some nice guppies. They had what they call blacks for $5 and $3.50. They are half blacks. Sunsets blues and yellows (tigerskins?) and mixed females it looked like. Also some delta tail bettas for $35 if anyone is interested. I'll certainly be going back when I'm more financial!
Cheers

LOL.. that is funny, I've just moved from Werribee!! I'm there every Friday either dropping off or picking up children.
I haven't been to the Ballarat shop. Went to Geelong one but that was mainly for the marines we also have. We went driving around to two shops in Boronia and one in Glen Waverly today. Looking to get some tanks for the bettas and guppies. Gosh, wish I could make up my mind what I want!

If you want tanks, Living Jungle on Ballarat road (Sunshine) have cheap tanks, I dont know if youve been there but it has a lot of variety and just about all fish needs. The marine aquarium shop in Geelong, is that the one on Ormond road? Called Reef and??? if so thats a nice shop...makes me want to get in salthingyer...but I cant justify the high prices for salt water fish....well not until I become more experienced and know I probably wont kill them off LOL High street Geelong (Across from the post office) has a great selection of fish They have my ghost knife there,,,,one day ....one day!

Thanks for the help I think I've been to that one many years ago. Mentone Aquarium also has good prices on tanks. I'm thinking of getting 2ft tanks and dividing them in half.

I have seen different dividers. Not sure of the sizing, but you can get plastic needlepoint sheets from Spotlight. Under $5. Best to take measurements with you to see if it fits. Not sure how you would hold it there yet. You can also get plastic dividers from a few shops I have seen now. (Over my side of town though:( ) Not sure of the measurments again, but I know one largish sheet was around $30.It would be no good for fry. Or, I have also seen what they call plastic egg grating. It is white and plastic and comes in a large sheet that is something like a metre by half a metre. You can cut it and then cover it will nylon flywire to stop fry. I found that in a shop in Noble Park for $27 a sheet. Mentone Aquarium also sells it apparently, but I don't know the price.
