Hi guys, I have been using Beanie boxes to house my bettas in and also guppies to see colour and keep them away from each other for selective breeding.
I buy them for $5 each. There is a discount for bulk buys. The person I buy them from has sent them to other states so it isn't limited to people in Brissy.
If people are unfamiliar with what a beanie box looks like I’ll try and get some pics of mine.
Cheers Dillen

I have been getting some cheap 'large' takeaway containers from our local discount chain store (10 for $2) they hold around 1lt so are good as emergency isolation tanks, fry tanks, betta Juvie tanks etc. I simply float them in the large 60 gal and flush a little water through them every day. Just make sure the plastic is 'food safe' though. Cheap containers are always great to have around.

Their main use is to hold Beanie baby toys, so they can be looked at but not touched. The Americans are big on the toys thing and the boxes are one of the most common containers used on Betta systems. I think the Killie fish breeders use them as well.

Where are you dillen?
I use beanie boxes for my bettas too. (getting out of guppies I think).
I'm paying $8 each so getting them cheaper would be a big plus!!!!

I'm in Brisbane. I know my supplier will send almost anywhere in Aus. I guess I would depend on how many you buy as to the discount and freight. They will deliver free to most places around Bris.
